Exciting AI Gear Update

Hey guys, I've got an exciting AI gear update today! I have a new MacBook Pro M4 Max with 128 gigabytes of RAM and 40 GPU cores. This is particularly exciting because it unlocks a bunch of AI use cases locally on my machine, so I can do this offline and keep everything private.

My Journey from M1 MacBook Air

Since I started this channel about 6 months ago, I've been using an M1 MacBook Air with 16 gigabytes of RAM. It's honestly been quite shocking how powerful this little laptop has been since day one, and I still can't believe that it could run a lot of local AI use cases like running a local LLM and even some AI image generation.

However, I started to get some FOMO with all of the cool AI use cases and even just being able to run larger language models on my computer, as well as getting faster speed with local AI image generation.

Why I Decided to Upgrade

Although this machine has been keeping me productive and still able to accommodate AI use cases, I thought, "Okay, I've been running this channel for six months now. I've proven to myself that I'm in this for the long haul, and I think it's justified now to invest in a new machine and unlock new use cases that I could share with you guys and demonstrate."

So that's why I got this upgrade, and I'm going to unbox it for you now. You can look forward to a lot more updates testing this machine and testing more AI use cases. If you have any ideas or things you want me to test, definitely comment below!

The Unboxing Experience

Here's the moment of truth - the MacBook Pro! We've got the 14-inch model, and let me show you what's inside. Look at this beauty! The 14-inch MacBook Pro is quite light, and it comes with the braided cable and instructions. Since we're in Thailand, we got this style of plug.

I didn't get the matte finish because I heard that it scratches easier, but this is looking beautiful. That keyboard is gorgeous!

What's Next
