Ancient stone beneath my feet
Passages I wander through
Moonlight casts a different shadow
Revealing something new
My fingers trace along the wall
Where ivy meets the stone
A hollow sound behind the bookcase
In this wing I call my home

There's a key I found while dreaming
Cold against my skin
Strange how it fits perfectly
Though I've never been

Hidden chamber in the darkness
Untouched by time's decay
Candles flickering to life
Though no flame showed me the way
Velvet curtains part before me
As silken shadows sway
This space that wasn't on the plans
Was only locked away

Marble floors beneath the dust
Mirrors veiled in spider's lace
A portrait hanging by the window
With features I can trace
Ornate chest with jewels inside
That shimmer in the glow
How strange that in this foreign place
Everything feels known

There's a stirring in the silence
As I step across the floor
Like the room has been waiting
For someone through the door
